Writers Adventure Camp at The Point,
Whistler, BC June 6th - June 10th, 2018

Writers Adventure Camp at The Point Artist-Run Centre on beautiful Alta Lake is a unique immersive experience for emerging writers. Attend interactive workshops with award-winning professionals in your chosen genre while cross-fertilizing your creative output with exposure to other narrative arts.

WAC is both intense and fun – think Writers Boot Camp meets West Coast Arts Festival – and is unlike other writing getaways across the country due to its setting, varied activities, and multi-disciplinary focus. Not a retreat, but a creative re-boot!

After spending the mornings in your main workshop group (fiction, nonfiction or screenwriting for TV), experience a different mind-expanding hands-on workshop each afternoon, then hang out on the dock with fellow writers, canoeing on the lake, and hiking or biking the trails in the area.

Evening events include an Opening Night BBQ, the annual Dinner Cabaret (participants perform/read alongside our professional headliners), faculty industry panel (New!), and a Fireside Poetry Bash. Plus badges, prizes & more!

Send Us a Story & Launch Your Adventure! Enter our third annual fiction contest to WIN full tuition to the 2018 Writers Adventure Camp, PLUS resort accommodation & publication by SubTerrain Magazine. (see Writing Contest)

“In my experience, events of this sort can be either funky or well-organized, but rarely both. You somehow pulled off completely shipshape funkiness.”

J.B. MacKinnon, 2016 faculty
